I am a New York State Licensed and Board Certified Arts Therapist with an educational background in fine art and a specialization in textiles and illustration. I obtained my Masters of Science in Creative Arts Therapy in 2020 from Nazareth College. I hold the idea that our experiences bring health, happiness, love, and purpose, with the inevitability that we will have difficulty coping with hardships somewhere in our lives. I strive to provide a creative space where you are seen and heard. I will ask questions to clarify and embrace transparency in the work we do together. I navigate with you and understand—I will not shy away if we get stuck. I stay with you while helping you identify coping strategies to move through your struggles. I explore with you, the person you are and where you are in your journey, and aim to bring you a sense of re-establishing hope, choice, safety, self-care, and meaning in your life.

I work to help alleviate stress and combat anxieties, incorporating a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused, person-centered, and existential approaches. I help explore how to sit with uncomfortable feelings to promote insight and gentleness, allowing movement through grief and loss. My professional experiences include providing individual therapy services and therapeutic group work with teens and adults.

Along with art-making a few of Caitlin’s favorite things are traveling, the outdoors, renaissance festivals (in costume), hydroponics, sewing and being with family and friends.
